Conor's April Blog

During the month of April, no practical work was performed as a result of the current international situation of the Covid-19 outbreak, alongside this we had the Easter holiday. Regarding the development of the project it was still a very productive month. The team kept in constant contact via the median of WhatsApp where we discussed ideas and made plans of what work should be done by when and who is responsible for said work. The website was completed to a very high standard on Friday the 3rd of April which we were very happy with as we had put considerable time into it, as it now reflected all the work we had put in throughout the process so we insured it was as professional and informational as possible and best reflected all of our work and ideas. Following from this we created a presentation with detailed speaker notes describing the whole project and reflected on all the positive and negatives. Another point to note was that out head researcher and documenter Vyshnav Sajeevan was in another time zone to the rest of the group however this had very little to no effect on the group thanks to social media and the power of communication.

As this is most likely going to be the last blog post of the project, I would like to say I very much enjoyed working with my team and couldn’t have asked for any better teammates. Our skills complimented each other well and allowed every session to be productive and insured a high-quality finish. The micromouse had strong potential however due to the circumstances our dream was never realised. Nevertheless, I have very much enjoyed the whole process and picked up very valuable life and teamwork skills along with furthering my academic knowledge.

I would also like to say a big thank you to all the lectures involved in the module and doing what they could to make the best out of a bad situation and allowing us to still walk away from this satisfied with the outcome of the work we had accomplished.
