Vyshnav's March Blog

March was the toughest month so far, and it was during this month that there were significant changes to the micro mouse. As a team, our priorities had changed, and we wanted to focus on creating a new PCB. The new PCB will include both obstacle avoidance and white line following. The prime reason for the change is because our previous design was too large and that our priority was to reduce as much as free spaces possible. Thus, with the new PCB, it not only improved our micro mouse exquisitely but also improved the functioning of the mouse.

Furthermore, to improve the reaction time of the mouse, we had decided to add two more LDR’s to the board, to increase the accuracy when the micro mouse in undergoing the white line following task. I had assisted the group in assembling the required components for the new PCB and had also helped in tidying up the website. Our agenda for this month was to achieve the white line following and get a head start with the special features. However, mid-March things took a turn for the worse, and we were stopped halfway with the new PCB construction. Although everything seemed standstill, we as a group managed to communicate powerfully through these tough times. Towards the end of the month, we were told that the group would be marked based on website presentation, question-answer session and ethics and sustainability reasoning. To tackle this task, we were active on WhatsApp exchanging ideas, setting targets and setting responsibilities for each individual. Moreover, we are planning on holding zoom meetings in the coming days. In conclusion, I am very proud of my team as we were are striving for success and that we are genuinely the lions of the arena.
