Vyshnav's December Blog

During this month, the primary purpose was to achieve the micro mouse obstacle avoidance. Furthermore, most of this month was focused on developing and improving the Proteus design before printing the board. My role was to help in whichever areas my teammates required support. Once the proteus design was given a green signal by the technician, we had gathered the components needed in order to solder them onto the board. Once the soldering was done, we had checked the wave frequencies with the help of the Rohde and Schwarz oscilloscope in order to avoid any mistakes. However, we were facing problems with some signals outputs. The reason being that the microprocessor was damaged during the soldering. Furthermore, the components were soldered incorrectly due to the wrong interpretation of the proteus design. In order to tackle this situation, we had to reconstruct our board within a limited time. I had tried soldering the components; however, the board was tarnished entirely. All in all, we were not able to get the infra-red sensors to work. Thus leaving us with the only option of touch bars. We were marked only for the touch bars and were taking into consideration as to how we can tackle this problem in the next semester.
